I’m surprised I didn’t see this before, as I’m always on the look out for new Asian based affiliate programmes. Advertlets is aimed at the Malaysian and Singapore markets, but accepts publishers and advertisers from all around the world.
About Advertlets
You place some Javascript box which acts as a widget which displays adverts on your site. Sizes range from 120×600 all the way to 728×60 pixels.
Advertlets Experience
I’ve temporarily placed the code on the site. I’ll see how it goes, I don’t expect to earn much as I won’t make use of their system of contacting advertisers to publish articles about their products. You can embed javascript on pages too.
My initial reactions are that to monetise it you need to accept advertisers reviews. If you are skilled at writing, it shouldn’t take long to knock out an article and have great traffic. But if you already have great traffic and writing skills, then I suppose you wouldn’t need a service like this since you could accept private advertising!
Also there’s no referal code/commission, cheques only and having Javascript only links is annoying.
