Commission Junction Affiliate Program - Best Blogs Asia
A review of Commission Junction and how it applies to Asian Affiliates.
I had to take some time out and review one of the biggest, if not the biggest Affiliate program portals in the world. But how did it fare for people in Asia?
Using CJ
Commission Junction (aka CJ) is so huge in affiliate program numbers, it’s also become it’s downfall. Let me start this post by saying the user interface is really, really poor. For example, you need to make 3 to 4 clicks to see reports, some affiliate programs won’t accept you and you’ll be on an unknown pending waiting list, the contract terms change regularly as do the actual affiliates and finally finding the right product can be an impossible task since there’s so many.
Asian Offers
Luckily CJ offers a worldwide regional selection box on the top links section as well as specific languages, although it didn’t work as well as expected. Here’s some example of offers I found which are available to people in Asia (Sorted by Commission/Sale amounts):
- FriendfinderNetwork – 100% (Asian Dating)
- eToro.com – 100USD per lead (Banking/Forex)
- GoDaddy.com – $105USD per lead (Virtual Dedicated Hosting)
Experience of CJ
My experience of using Commission Junction has been good, sometimes I made £20 a sale on certain items, whilst other months I’d make nothing at all. They’ve always paid me on time and the constant email messages which display updates on advertisers/CJ itself, are actually useful.
Commission Junction as a Steady Stream of Income?
I’m not sure what the answer is, offers change regularly and so to have many sites with many offers – it can be a bit daunting to have to continually check which offers are live, which offers are new and which offers don’t convert. Something automated would be useful.
I’m also concerned that an affiliate program like CJ is so commercial that it becomes too dilluted with the same affiliates promoting the same products.
In regards to Asia, there isn’t many Asian target or Asian based programs available on CJ, so I’d suggest applying…but wait until the right offers come up.

It’s good you earned from CJ. Last year, my accounted was canceled because I didn’t make any sale. I can re-apply, accdg. to their rules, but I searched and tried Affiliatebot.com. I made one sale and a commission of $18, but I was discouraged when I read some complaints about payments. By the way, I got to your site when I was looking for an Asian article directory to submit my article (which was rejected by ezine because I didn’t deliver on the word “Philippines” in the body of the article).
