Stumble DGM Asia and Apple Breakup

I received an email this morning from DGM Asia that the Apple Affiliate program will be finishing on June 10th 2010. It doesn’t give publishers much time to get rid of links, but I’m wondering now – what will DGM and affiliate marketers do now?

Their Situation and Asia Affiliates

I reviewed DGM Asia a while back, I mentioned the attraction of Apple and also they need more stronger advertisers. I see that they have clients like Acuvue, Apple, Avis, Avon, Chrysler, Citibank, Clinique, Dell, Dulux, FT, Good Year, HSBC, ING, iTunes, LG, M.A.C, McDonalds, McAfee, PayPal, Pioneer, Qantas, Shangri-La, Sony, Time, Visa and Vodafone…but this doesn’t apply to the Asia regions.

Affiliate Marketing in Asia is still slow to take off, I thought things would of changed by now. DGM are one of the biggest networks within the Asia region, so it will effect their business but why are Apple pulling out of Asia too?

Just looking at the famous people in Asia who’ve made millions out of affiliate programs, they should show the rest of us how it’s done. On a personal level, I’ve never made any money from DGM Asia which is strange since I’m ranked #1 for most of their search terms as well as having a popular site with many signups. I’m not sure if it’s bad luck on my part or that their accounting system isn’t working well.

Conclusion

I see this post actually turned into a rant about the company, which wasn’t my intention or meaning. However, I’d like to ask…is anyone currently making ANY money from DGM Asia at all?

In mean time, things have been made harder for affiliate marketers in Asia, but cheer up there are many other programs to use.
