Appreciate the feedback Sheenu, I think all our readers benefit from your comments made.

I can't remember if I mentioned it, but I think DGM Asia should have a commission structure for refering signups to the programme, shoudl encourage more Asian Bloggers to promote you and your work.

Would like to see more high ranking programmes too.

HI There,

My name is Sheenu Aggarwal and I Head up the Affiliate Team in dgmAsia. I would first of all like to say thank you for this review, there is some useful feedback in here which I can pass back to the relevant teams in terms of usability and our interface.

With regards to acceptance onto the affiliate programs we do encourage our merchants to do this as regularly as possible. Please note though that sometimes this may take a bit longer as blue chip clients are very conscious about brand integrity and the sites that they will be promoted on. In most cases we rely on the merchants to actually view and approve the affiliate sites and it may require a few key people at their end to do this.

However, please email me sheenu.aggarwal@dgm-sg.com if you find this process taking too long and I will see if I can try and push the application through quicker for you.

With regards to the Advertiser Base, we started our affiliate operations in South East Asia in September 2008 with the launch of our first affiliate client. We are speaking to many advertisers about launching an affiliate network in South East Asia however again this process takes time, as we educate the agencies and clients about the market and how it can provide incremental ROI to them as this channel is very new to them. We are dedicated to growing the affiliate industry as a whole and to be able to provide our affiliates with a large pool of advertisers to work on.

We do have a set criteria to the type of advertisers we allow on the network, as we service the client to ensure they are fully protected on our network we try and do the same for our affiliates with the advertisers we bring on. Having said that, we do not limit ourselves to blue chip clients only, if we think a campaign will work well on the affiliate channel irrelevant of how small or niche they are we will of course bring them on board. This will hopefully give opportunity to smaller and more niche affiliates in the market who may find a match with these programs.

The affiliate channel is very new to South East Asia however, I expect to see this grow over the coming year as more and more advertisers take interest in the performance based channel.

If you have any questions / queries as always please feel free to email me sheenu.aggarwal@dgm-sg.com.

Kind Regards
