A guide on how to find and use Free Desktop Wallpaper to brighten up your computer (or Twitter) and perhaps allow you to work more productively.
I use the computer a lot so staring at the same desktop background is pretty annoying after a while. I present a selection of my favourite wallpapers which are usuable, colourful and interesting.
Finding Wallpaper
Finding free wallpaper is difficult as there’s so much available on the net, however you need to make sure that:
- There are no copyright clauses for the images, check for a Creative Copyright licence.
- Image sizes should range from 1600×1200, 1280×960 to 1024×768, preferably quality should be above 72DPI.
- Choose a light coloured background to separate icons from dark colours.
