I used to live in Hong Kong and didn’t even know there was a SEO or Internet Marketing scene…until now! I always wondered about the SEO scene in Hong Kong, I started out as a struggling Web Designer in Hong Kong back in 2003 and found finding clients was hard, whilst competing with established Web Companies in HK.

Researching Search Engine Optimisation and Internet Marketing in Hong Kong

Hong Kong blogs can be found at the HK Directory and I make no guarantee as to how these guys perform in terms of SEO services.

SEO Hong Kong
Created by Elmer Cagape, a freelance SEO consultant for BeansBox Studio Limited. His site is pretty useful, giving great tips on SEO, Hong Kong scene and link building.

Run by Angus Lau, gives updates on the Web2.0 scene in Hong Kong with a list of Startups here (are any of these still around?)

Bar Camp

There’s a yearly meet up of Internet Marketers in Hong Kong, at a group discussion board called “Bar Camp“. I missed this year’s one, I’ll try to make next year’s though as would love to get in contact with people who do a similar role to me.

Conclusion

Internet Marketing and SEO is quite new in Hong Kong and probably the rest of Asia, glad to see the above people are helping it to take off and events like Bar Camp can only improve Hong Kong’s profile on the scene.
