Stumble The Indian Internet Scene

Apologies in advance to Indian bloggers and site owners. I regularly check my stats and found that the 2nd highest proportion of hits comes from India.

Famous Indian Bloggers and Affiliates

Amit Agarwal
A professional blogger and personal technology columnist for a national newspaper. He runs the Digital Inspiration site.

Ajith Edassery
A software professional and blogger from Bangalore, India. He runs the popular Dollar Shower site.

Lax
Owns and runs Techzoomin which is a popular web blog and talks about making money in India.

Tushar Agarwal
Probably the best blog on this list as the posts make sense and easy to read. Tushar runs the popular Bloggers Passion site.

Indian Blogging Communities

There is a small list of blogospheres which are communities/directories of Hindi and Bangla blogs. I also have my own directory at Indian Blogs:

Useful Affiliate Networks in India

From what I understand, PayPal India have stopped transactions to personal accounts – which is a huge thing so having a stable currency online (and offline) would help affiliates. That said, here are some popular and active networks in India:

DGM Asia
I’ve written about DGM in Hong Kong, so taking that in mind they also have clients like ABN Amro, SnapFish, Tata Motors, Tata AIG, Lipton, Makemytrip and Rediff shopping. Join DGM Asia (India).

Clix Galore
Clix Galore have been around for ages and seem to have a lot of country specific sites. One thing I must say is that their sites have an Australian angle to them which doesn’t relate at all to India. Join Clixgalore.

Vcommission
Seems to offer similar programs like DGM Asia, but also gambling offers like 888 and Nielsen which could be worth checking out. Join Vcommission.

SMXchange
Huge list of popular programs like Microsoft, IBN Live, Mac, ICICI Bank, British Council and CricketNext. Join SMXchange.

Affiliate Programs

The following are established and worth joining up with:

Conclusion

I’m no expert on Indian blogging I’m afraid, but there seems to be potential. Depending on the popularity of this article, I may look into this field further and see what else is going on in the local web community.

If there’s more to add to this article, let me know!
