Submit to Ask, MSN and Baidu - Best Blogs Asia
Ask, Baidu and MSN are huge search engines with seperate links to Google and Yahoo, submit to now!
Both MSN and Ask.com accept site submissions but no one knows about it. Make sure they have the right content – you can submit your sitemap, your site will be crawled and hopefully later indexed by the sites.
Submit to Ask
Ask.com supports the open-format Sitemaps protocol. Once you have prepared the sitemap, add the sitemap auto-discovery directive to robots.txt as follows:
- Submit your sitemap through the ping URL – http://submissions.ask.com/ping?sitemap=http://www.theURLofyoursitemaphere.xml
Submit to MSN
Submit your url (homepage) to MSN Live Search:
Submit to Baidu
The first step to getting traffic from Baidu is to submit your blog to their database. After you submitted your blog, Baidu will crawl and index your blog.

- Go to the Baidu URL Submission Page.
- Enter your website with the relevant Capcha and then wait for traffic.

Submitting your site to Baidu is just the first step and doesn’t guarantee traffic from the search engine. If your site is not in Chinese or not physically hosted in China there is little change a Baidu submission would help.
Submitting isn’t a guarantee, but is better than not doing it. Not sure about the 2nd statement, I’ve got non-chinese sites which are spidered by Baidu (a site which is Chinese and English).
Just found out about Baidu from BBC’s news report on Google!
I’m after a stupid amount of hits – just for a laugh!
thanks for the tip… I just submitted to Baidu
