The Worst Affiliate Programs - Best Blogs Asia
A list of not so great Affiliate Publishing Program reviews.
You hear a lot from other bloggers about how great certain programs are and how much they make per month. Here I write about my experiences about the worst affiliate programs and reasons why they should be avoided.
ADSDAQ/Contextweb

(www.contextweb.com) I applied for the program, received a courtesy email but then no reply from them to say whether or not I’ve been accepted.
Clicksor

(www.clicksor.com) They are used by a large group of people and from my experience I’ve received money from them in the past. On one occasion I was meant to receive a $50 payment, but the transaction didn’t go ahead since I received “fraudelent” clicks on my ads. No explaination why and I lost all the money. Avoid.
Emagin Adbank

(www.emaginadbank.com) I can apply, received a confirmation email (which also requires confirmation by fax and post) but the account wasn’t activated.
Kontera

(www.kontera.com) Applied got accepted, but I didn’t like the low paying amounts offered or the large amounts of underlined ads per page.
Max Bounty

(www.maxbounty.com) Max Bounty wasn’t so bad, I had a personal email stating “Our decision was not a judgment on the quality of your website, but rather that it was not a suitable match for our current list of sponsors”. So I hope in future they have more relevant advertisers for bloggers in Asia.
Shareasale

(www.shareasale.com) You click on the link, enter your details and then receive a message stating they are no longer accepting affiliates.
Text Link Ads

(www.textlinkads.com) I’ve already written about Text Link Ads, they pay but you can’t control the price of links and they are all dofollow which effects PR.
Conclusion
Shoemoney made a recent post stating that you should apply for as many affiliate programs as possible. I don’t agree, I think you need to be selective on what programs you apply to, make them relevant to your site and avoid the ones listed above and perhaps recommend these Asia Affiliate Networks.
What do I expect from an affiliate network?
I expect them to at least have a working web site, contact/sign up page which isn’t overly complex, support telephone number and email address, I expect replies as to why I haven’t been excepted, would like referral links and also more importantly, great products to promote with a fair commission structure.

I just applied ADSDAQ and Kontera, let see how it goes.
I use Infolinks on my website and man they are much better…good payment…great support!!!
I agree with Infolinks and I’ll write a report about them soon!
Most of the affiliate program above is only worth joining if your blog have high traffic. Otherwise they will not entertain you.
Thanks, but if you’ve got high traffic then you probably wouldn’t touch these programmes anyway. Is funny how top affiliate programmes come looking for YOU when your site is popular
